The Pendulum — A Tool to Make the Unseen Seen
An underrated tool that reveals far more than a simple yes or no.
In this reflection, I share how the pendulum helps reveal what we cannot see with the mind — the old stories, emotions, and patterns that quietly drain our energy. It’s a simple, down-to-earth way to connect with the higher self, understand why things are as they are, and reclaim the clarity we often lose along the way.
How Energy Speaks
When something painful or overwhelming happens, we don’t always process it in the moment. Sometimes we don’t have the tools, the time, or the inner safety to face it — we’re simply trying to survive. So the body steps in and stores the emotion somewhere deep inside until we are ready to face it.
You can often see this later in life:
• in the shoulders or neck of someone who seems to literally carry the weight of the past
• in the lower back when emotions are buried out of sight
• or in the feet or knees, when it becomes difficult to “move forward” energetically
Where emotions settle differs for each person — shaped by personality, life events, and the way we learned to cope.
These stored emotions create a lower vibration in the body. And when this continues for years, the whole system becomes strained — much like a car running too long without care.
Over time, these unprocessed stories consume more and more of our energy. We may need far more than the natural 100% our body produces — perhaps 150% — just to stay in balance. That’s when people begin to break down: feeling exhausted, stuck, burned out, or physically unwell. Simply because too much energy is tied to the past.
When Your Soul Decides It’s Time
There comes a moment — not determined by age, but by the soul — when you finally become ready to face what was once too overwhelming to feel. Trauma forms when an emotion is too big to process in the moment it happens. We were too young, too shocked, too unsupported, or simply without the capacity to deal with it. So we stored it as a survival mechanism.
When the soul decides it is time, those old emotions rise again — safely. Processing trauma doesn’t mean reliving the story; it means allowing yourself to finally feel what couldn’t be felt back then. Sometimes it’s thirty seconds of tears, sometimes a minute, sometimes it returns briefly a few times — and that is healthy. We are meant to feel emotions, just not to live inside them forever.
Once the emotion moves, something deeper becomes possible:
the real story behind the trauma becomes clear.
Often, when we revisit an old event with maturity and awareness, we discover that the story we created back then was incomplete or formed through a child’s eyes. Healing also means seeing the real story — why it happened, what it taught us, how it shaped strength, and what it ultimately gave us.
Creative expression helps: writing, drawing, movement, poetry, meditation — anything that allows the old story to soften and transform. You don’t have to approve of what happened, but you finally understand it. And once understood, it loses its power.
Why I Use the Pendulum
I use the pendulum because it makes the unseen visible. It connects directly to a person’s energy and reveals what still lives beneath the surface — the residues of past experiences that shape how we think, feel, and act.
The pendulum brings the unconscious into consciousness. And awareness is already the beginning of healing, because what becomes visible can finally shift. It acts as a bridge between what a person consciously knows and what their energy silently carries. For me, it’s the perfect tool for reading energy with precision and clarity.
How It Works in a Clarity Session
A pendulum is not just for yes-or-no questions. Its real power lies in its ability to navigate possibilities. That’s why I created a series of detailed charts — each representing emotions, patterns, beliefs, and imprints that may hold energy.
During a clarity session, I tune into the person’s energy and let the pendulum guide me through these charts. The movements reveal what is draining energy, what can be released, and even when certain experiences left their imprint. Often, the results highlight something the person never would have mentioned — yet instantly recognises as true.
This is the beauty of the work: it bypasses the mind and speaks directly to the soul’s truth.
How Old Stories Shape Our Lives
Old emotional imprints don’t stay in the past; they shape our present. A child who stayed quiet to avoid conflict may grow into an adult afraid to speak up. Someone who once felt unsafe may try to control everything to feel secure.
When we release the energy behind those early experiences, behaviour naturally changes. We begin responding to life from the present moment — not from old survival patterns. This shift affects everything: health, relationships, communication, creativity, and the way we show up in the world.
Releasing What Drains Us
To live in balance, we need our full energy available now. But when our energy remains tied to past stories, part of us is always pulled backwards.
Through the pendulum, we can identify and gently close those lines to the past. Each moment of clarity is like reclaiming a piece of yourself — energy returning home. People often describe feeling lighter, calmer, and suddenly clear about decisions that once felt confusing.
When the body no longer uses energy to maintain the past, its vibration rises and vitality returns naturally.
A Down-to-Earth Way of Seeing the Invisible
The pendulum is an honest tool. It simply reflects the energy as it is — shaped by the person’s inner state and the circumstances around them. Because energy is dynamic, every session is unique.
There is nothing mystical or ghostly about it. The pendulum does not come from outside of us; it reflects the person’s own higher self. During a clarity session, I connect with that higher self directly, bypassing the mind and ego.
At the end of a session, I teach people how to use their own body as a pendulum. They immediately see that their body responds in the same intuitive way — a natural yes or no. This moment shows them something powerful:
the answers were always inside them.
From that awareness, people begin making choices that align with their truth, their energy, and their self-love.
When the unconscious becomes conscious, transformation begins.
Why a Retreat Can Help
Becoming aware of what needs to be released is only the first step — healing unfolds over time. In daily life, clarity often gets swallowed by routine. A retreat offers the space to stay with what surfaced, to feel without rushing, and to explore the deeper meaning of your stories in a supported environment.
A week is not enough to complete a life’s journey — but it’s enough to plant a powerful seed. Just like a clarity session plants a seed, a retreat strengthens it, giving it time, space, and attention.
Step by step, layer by layer, we become more whole. And this process — even when it touches difficult places — can be deeply enriching. When clarity comes, when you finally understand why things happened the way they did, it brings relief, freedom, and peace. The journey of uncovering yourself becomes meaningful, inspiring, and at moments even joyful.
