Aegina Women's Group

The Aegina Women's Group is an English-speaking group of women who live in Aegina and who meet to communicate, support and encourage each other as well as to coordinate the sharing of talents and skills.

There are many nationalities; the common thread of all is the English language.

There is no membership fee, no formal structure and no executive, just an ad-hoc committee doing minimal organizing.

Any woman can suggest and plan an event. Members are informed via an e-mail sent out about once a week and those who have no e-mail addresses are informed by those who do.

Any woman is welcome to join at any time.

Tuesday mornings for coffee in AVLI for anyone who wants to drop in.  This is not an organized meeting but simply a time when you can arrange to meet a few of your friends for coffee.  Hours 10-12 every Tuesday morning.

There will be a Christmas Bazaar at the Greek Women's Society of Aegina on Saturday, December 8th from 10am on, featuring arts and crafts and Christmas decorations plus a white elephant table and a cafe with hot drinks and desserts. Cost of having your own booth is 10 Euros, however, there are only two openings left so if you are interested, please contact me at elizkou@hotmail.com or 22970 71708 as soon as possible. This is a cooperative event of both Greek women and non-Greek women. (The society has moved to a new location on Vas.Georgios A Street (turn up from the corner on Spirou Rodi where Daphni's store and Voulgarakis Furniture place are - on the left you will see an iron gate and small courtyard - that's it!)

The annual Christmas Bazaar at Gramma will be held on Saturday, December 15th....10am until evening. All the tables are already booked but if you did want to have a table, you could phone Christina and get on the waiting list. This will be an handicraft fair with lots of decorations and gifts for Christmas and of course, Gramma's good food and drinks. The Aegina Women's Group did work with Christina to organize it last year but in fact, Christina has been hosting this Christmas fair for a few years now and it has been getting better every year.
