The area of Skliri on the east side of Agistri island is the home of Agistri's pebbled Chalikiada beach. The beach can be reached by foot. Walk from the village of Skala towards the area of Skliri and follow the concrete road. This road becomes a dirt road after the last house/ hotel and leads you through the forest to the edge of the cove. Chalikiada is a rocky secluded cove that hosts a variety of visitors. You will find young & old, people with and without swim wear, hippies camping on the beach in the summer months and visitors who are just coming for the day.
When you stand at the edge of the cliff, from where you can go down to the beach, you can enjoy the wonderful view towards the beach which is surrounded by a pine forest. The blue and green colours are beautiful and the sound of the moving pebbles in the sea is magic!
Chalikiada beach is a relaxed, free, kind of hippy environment where you can enjoy sunbathing and swimming; it is the only nudist beach in the Agistri & Aegina region. Some people even stay here for a longer period in small tents.
Note that you have to bring your own refreshments, umbrella and something comfortable to lay on. At the end of the beach you will find a cove where you can keep refreshments cool.
It is easy to visit this beach from Aegina island. Take the Agistri Express or the ferry (Port of Aegina) to the village of Skala on Agistri. This trip takes about 10 minutes, 20 minutes later you will be on the beach.
